The International Cooperation Conference: sharing our know-how towards a world in common
The sustainable development of the planet, Covid-19 pandemic and economic, social and political tensions we are currently experiencing, are all challenges faced by international cooperation actors.
These interdependent and transnational challenges call for a collective response from the international community through the mobilisation of all development actors – from governments to international organisations, including NGOs and development and cooperation agencies – and the capacity to develop cross-cutting, comprehensive and innovative approaches.
The renewal of international cooperation
Five years after its creation, Expertise France is organising The International Cooperation Conference: an event to mark the renewal of international cooperation and build a sustainable world by sharing our know-how.
The face of international cooperation has changed: it now aims to achieve a sustainable transformation of our societies. It is no longer based on North-South relations, but on shared dynamics in which citizens from all countries, especially young people, want to be actively involved. It must therefore be based on partnership, resilience and open-mindedness.
Live from the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris, international development and cooperation actors will be gathering to work together on defining a world in common.
Institutions and administrations, international organisations, researchers, NGOs and civil society actors… We will all be mobilised to discuss the models and operating methods for development and promote effective and sustainable solutions to address the challenges that, more than ever before require innovation and solidarity.
