SOCIEUX+ mobilises European public expertise to strengthen social protection systems and employment and labour policies in partner countries, with a particular focus on women, young people and vulnerable groups.
SOCIEUX+: mobilising European expertise for social protection, labour and employment
SOCIEUX+ is a technical cooperation facility which aims to improve access to better employment opportunities and inclusive social protection systems.
The facility supports the strengthening of institutional capacities in partner countries by promoting social protection, decent work and responsible business conduct.
Supporting public institutions in partner countries
Within the framework of SOCIEUX+, we assist public institutions in preparing for and complying with the requirements of the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).
The actions implemented as part of SOCIEUX+ are intended for public authorities responsible for employment and social protection policies in partner countries, as well as for social partners, including employers’ and workers’ organisations engaged in social dialogue. These organisations are encouraged to request technical cooperation support from SOCIEUX+.
Demand-driven SOCIEUX+ interventions cover all dimensions of social protection, labour and employment, including:
- Social insurance
- Social assistance
- Labour
- Employment
As part of this facility partner-country institutions are encouraged to engage with civil society organisations and non-governmental organisations advocating for the rights of women, informal economy workers, young people, persons with disabilities, and other socio-economically vulnerable groups.
