In 2025, more than 47,000 assessed species worldwide are threatened with extinction. Among the most vulnerable groups, 41% of amphibian species and 44% of reef-building coral species are threatened. As climate change accelerates and biodiversity collapses, there is an urgent need to strengthen public policies that tackle environmental degradation.
